About me
I’m a screenwriter, playwright and journalist based in London.
I studied screenwriting at Birkbeck and City Lit, and I'm collaborating with several London Film Academy graduates to produce some of my short screenplays. I’m currently spending a year studying with John Burgess, former head of new writing at the National Theatre. My other radio work includes Clean Break, a 15-minute play broadcast in June 2014 on Kilburn to Kensal Radio, and Skulk, a 10-minute radio play, performed and recorded live at the opening night of the 2013 London Horror Festival. My short plays include Pijara (Brockley Jack Studio Theatre), Fulfilled (Chelsea Theatre) and Old Romantic (Sydenham Arts Festival). Most recently, my 10-minute short, House-proud, was performed at the Southwark Playhouse in June 2015, as part of a Little Pieces of Gold showcase. It was chosen from more than 300 entries as one of seven short plays to accompany Child Z, a new 90-minute play by Sarah Hehir. When I’m not writing scripts, I’m a Content Producer for UCL, where I lead on a variety of multimedia and editorial projects. I also write freelance film articles for This is London Magazine and have covered the Raindance, East End and London Film Festivals each year since 2004. |
